A Personal Note on  Becoming 

Hi, I'm Amy. I write about ideas at the intersection of marketing, entrepreneurship, and purpose.

As we enter the year of the dragon, I have been inspired to revamp my blog -- and to hopefully connect with more people by sharing my voice on other platforms like Substack, Medium, and LinkedIn. Whether these events are linked or not is for you to decide (though I’m pretty confident this was all predestined), but my blog was admittedly in need of a makeover either way. I am deeply aware of this because I haven’t been motivated to write or post anything new in ages. In fact, it's probably a stretch for me to even call what I was doing before a blog since I can count the number of articles that don't include a listicle on one hand.

"So, here we are, it's January 2024, and I've decided to start something all new -- the #tlb Marketing Jam." 

It's both a culmination of many things I’ve explored before and one idea I’ve been sitting on. And while I’m not entirely sure yet what it will become, my hope is that it will be meaningful and grow into a vibrant community. 

 

That is why I've decided to do more of my own writing (please be patient as I build my editorial muscles -- if you haven't noticed, I find it hard to write succinctly) and to focus on the things that move me personally. No more top 10 style posts, regurgitation of other people’s thoughts, or trendy blog formats. I want to inspire others and communicate my point of view as a marketer, entrepreneur, and consumer.  And  I'll be going all in on the power of purpose — both harnessing mine and igniting yours  — so, if you're a founder in need of some marketing swagger (or zwagger as I like to call it), welcome to my new and improved blog - the #tlb Marketing Jam. 

All of my original blog content will also be published here, but I have plans to add a podcast, live AMA’s, and other community driven features to my Substack in the future, so I hope you will join me on the platform and provide input as things evolve.
