Cosmic Entrepreneurship: How I Harnessed the Power of the Aries Eclipse to Reimagine the Future of my Business

Updated: 4 days ago

Yes, this is a story about astrology; but don't worry, it's also about creating a roadmap for your business.

The universe operates in mysterious ways, and sometimes, celestial events like the Aries Eclipse that happened this week — and whose energy has been present since mid-March – can offer profound insights and opportunities for transformation.

Foreword

This Aries season in particular has been very active for me — so much so that I find myself uttering the words ‘Aries season’ for the first time in my life. My mind has been in overdrive reassessing literally everything about my perspective on life: the stories I tell myself, childhood memories, and the playbook I created to carry it all around with me. I'm talking about big stuff -- the ‘I don't really want to deal with this right now’ kind of stuff — that makes you want to partake in a vice or two.

Don’t worry, my vices are all fairly vanilla as far as vices go, but I did end up deep inside the Matrix [aka my head] wondering about that damn spoon. And my big ‘aha’ moment was about something small — how a slight shift in one’s perspective can change their entire perception of the world, their life, and even their work / business. (Wait, it’s been 25 years since Matrix came out and I think I just realized the deeper meaning of this scene – as Neo would say, Whoa!)

I know, I know, I'm trying to braid a bit of astrology, personal growth, movie magic, and business into a single narrative, but please stick with me -- especially if you think these ideas are outlandish -- as I feel like I'm really on to something.

The theory goes like this: How can I, or more broadly, entrepreneurs, invoke the energy of change that the Aries Eclipse is bringing to bear to ignite our businesses. More specifically, what is that one little tweak we can make to our internal dogma that will allow us to take a fresh look at what we have built and the lessons we have learned so that we can take a giant leap forward.

That is my inspiration for this post. Whether you follow astrology or not, I hope you will take the more practical aspects of what I’m trying to say to heart. 😘

Part 1. Unpacking the Aries Eclipse – A Celestial Phenomenon for Bold Beginnings

The Aries Eclipse isn't just another event marked on astrological calendars; it's a cosmic ‘happening’, signaling a time for audacious ventures and fresh initiatives. For those unacquainted, this eclipse is a dance of celestial bodies where the moon cloaks the sun, all happening under the sign of Aries — the zodiac's brave trailblazer. Its significance? Well, in astrology, eclipses are like supercharged new moons, heralding profound shifts and opportunities for growth. Think of Aries' fire as the spark that ignites your vision as a founder. It's about channeling raw energy into your business, turning the heat up on creativity, and daring to disrupt the status quo.

Practical Application – Take some time to reflect on your business today. Are you happy with the way things are going? Have you been avoiding a change or tabling any new ideas? Now is the time to explore the idea of mixing things up.

Part 2. Business Rebirth – Tapping into Aries Eclipse Energy for Transformation

Harnessing the Aries Eclipse involves more than just wishful thinking; it's about embodiment. Aries' traits — courage, leadership, and assertiveness — are not just words but actionable qualities that can help you confront and overcome business stagnation. Imagine infusing these ideas into every aspect of your business, from the way you make decisions to the way you sell your products and services. Here’s some ideas for how you can use Aries’ energy:

  • Apply Aries' courage by taking calculated risks to propel your business forward.

  • Embrace Aries' leadership by setting clear, inspiring goals and aligning all of your activities behind them.

  • Channel Aries' assertiveness to clearly communicate your business plans.

Practical Application – It’s time to dig into what you uncovered in Part 1. This is about reimagining not just your goals but how you approach them. Are you leading with the confidence of an Aries, ready to conquer, or do you need to light a fire in your gut?

Part 3. Cosmic Alignment – Synchronizing Your Business Vision with the Universe

If you've ever scoffed at the idea of 'manifesting,' the Aries Eclipse might just change your mind. Setting intentions during such powerful cosmic events isn't mystical mumbo jumbo; it's strategic visioning. The goal here is to paint a picture of what you want your business to look like in the future and harness the chutzpah to go after it.

With the Aries Eclipse amplifying the energy for new ideas and ventures, now is the perfect time to set your dreams in motion -- to align your business trajectory with whatever you are being encouraged to do. This could mean unveiling a new product, rebranding, or even shifting your business model to better serve your vision.

Practical Application – Are you ready to do a little dreaming? Spend some time thinking about the future of your business – what do you want it to look like in 1 year, 3 years, 5 years? Seal your intentions by writing them down.

Part 4. Navigating the Eclipse Aftermath – Practical Steps for Sustained Momentum

The post-eclipse landscape is rich with momentum, but like any natural resource, it must be mined and managed. This is where your big ideas and best intentions will get lost in the shuffle of the daily grind, and strategic planning becomes a must. I know my interests tend to wax and wane based on external factors, so I have to proactively work to keep myself moving in the right direction. Here are a few ideas to consider if you also need help plotting a steady course:

  • Create an action plan and hold yourself accountable to it (this last bit is where I tend to slack off).

  • Prioritize your schedule by the day, the week, and the month -- making sure to allot time for at least one task that will move you closer to your vision.

  • Have regular check-ins with yourself to maintain focus and adjust course as needed

This isn't just about riding the high of the moment; it's about embedding the Aries spirit into your day-to-day business practices. It's about becoming an entrepreneurial chameleon, adapting to post-eclipse realities with the same zeal that got you here in the first place.

Practical Application – You know what I’m going to say – it’s time to make a plan. Pick the one thing you are most excited about and figure out how to make it happen. Break it into steps and give yourself deadlines. I know you want to skip this step, but I promise it’s worth your time and effort.

Epilogue

If you’re still with me, I’m going to share a bit more about my personal journey and hopefully pull this entire post together. This is all about how I’m trying to use the eclipse energy to bring fresh life into my business, so please take from my story what you like and leave what you don’t.

  • Part 1. Unpacking the Eclipse – As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, I found myself knee deep in all kinds of thought exercises the past few weeks. While the experience wasn’t always pleasant, I’ve come out of it with a fresh perspective; and, fortunately / unfortunately for you, I am congealing my thoughts together by writing about them. This post in and of itself is a reflection of me trying to bring a little otherworldly inspiration to my work.

  • Part 2. The Business Rebirth – I’ve got a brand new outlook about everything: what I love (and don't love) to do, how I present myself to the world, and, most importantly, what's been holding me back. I've decided it's time to start leaning into the things I've been avoiding and take more risks. If you remember my Matrix reference from before – my childhood playbook [aka the spoon] is definitely still alive and kicking, I’ve just added little notes in the margins to update the stories I’ve been telling myself.

  • Part 3. Cosmic Alignment – I broke down and created a vision board of sorts. I've been avoiding this task as it feels like wishful thinking to me, but I spent some time considering what it is that I want to achieve with my business and gave my ideas life by making a [very loose] plan in my project management tool. We’re talking about a big picture list of things I want to do with no dates attached to them. It's a road map for where I want to go, but it doesn't focus on how I'm going to get there -- that will come later. For now, it just feels great to know where I’m headed.

  • Part 4. Navigating the Aftermath – Last but not least, I created an action plan to support my business vision. It’s honestly ridiculous that I didn’t have one already. I blame (not really) one of my early clients who let me go because, in their words, I had done too much -- I had created a Mercedes when all they needed was a Yugo. I took their comment (and my removal from their business) a bit too wholeheartedly at the time and decided crafting plans was no longer a valuable business activity. I am however happy to report my love of plans has returned and the future looks much clearer – and brighter - now that I have one again!

If you’ve been inspired – celestially or otherwise – to take a fresh look at your business and the decisions you've been making, please drop me a line to let me know how it’s going. I'm excited to hear what the future has in store for you!
